SAY IT Solutions’ founder and CEO is Karen Kranbuehl. She created the SAY IT Program in 2015 and started SAY IT Solutions in 2016 to create the online program.

A passion for self-advocacy

Karen’s passion for sharing self-advocacy skills grew from a variety of experiences. She clerked for a federal judge and then practiced law for several years. Karen served as a volunteer Guardian ad Litem in cases of child abuse and neglect. At Interact of Wake County, Karen answered the crisis phone lines serving survivors of intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and rape. She is also a parent of two children, a wife, daughter, sister, and friend. And she is in long-term, sustained recovery from depression, anxiety, binge eating, and substance use disorder. The unique depth and breadth of her experience brings a dynamic, real-world perspective to SAY IT Solutions’ work.

Karen is a frequent public speaker and trainer.
